I bought new 22's a while a go. I finally got around to getting them on after I had a slow leak in one of the original Conti's. The originals lasted 25k miles.
Wheels are TSW Montage, 22"x10", chrome finish. Tires are BF Goodrich g-Force TA/KDW2 in 285/35/22. I got chrome wheel locks from Discount Tire (they're also who mounted and balanced) and transferred the valve stems and TPMS from the originals. Everything works perfectly. For some reason, all five lug bolts are locks instead of just one. Oh well, I don't care, the set cost the same as a regular, non-locking set. The only thing that is kind of sucky is that I have to keep five of the original lug bolts for the spare (since the aftermarket set is conical instead of spherical).
Performance: Car handles a little bit better, ride is slightly more stiff, and the tires make a little more noise due to their blocky pattern. I lost about 0.5 mpg with the bigger size/higher weight. Overall, I couldn't be more pleased. One day, when I get off my lazy butt, I will lower the car 1-1.5 inches via VagCom.
