Ok my T1 pulls to the right and tires are wearing funny on the inside. So I took it to our version of Pep boys or Autozone for an alignment and they couldn't do it.

When I asked why they said I had a seized balljoint. But the guy was unable to tell me if it was a tie rod or upper/lower balljoint. (in Spanish the word is the same).

Ever happen to anyone?

Anyway I'll check it myself asap.

After searching a bit better (should have done that before posting, sorry) I see a lot of Tregs pull to the right or have other problems with alignment.

I now guess the boys couldn't do it because it was to difficult and they told me a story. But I will check front end anyway asap.

All my 4 tires have worn out evenly, and I mean dead on perfect. No pulling to right side either.

I always had it aligned at the Porsche dealer, and would always ask them to align it in Sport mode on the air suspension, and not Auto, since I drive quite a bit with sport air mode engaged.

My methods have once again proved me correct :).

No, don't just do the front. Do the job properly!

You need a full 4 wheel laser alignment, preferably done on Hunter equipment.

Your Touareg should not pull but drive straight and true.

If you are in Spain, then contact these people to find someone with Hunter equipment:

What I ment was checking front end bushings and balljoints. Which I did this morning and I cannot find anything wrong. Thanks for the link to Rivolta, toe-out or camber is of, tires wear to much on the inside.

If you have an odd wear pattern no reputable shop will do an alignment...it can't properly be done with "bad" tires.

I agree with nooby, the Treg needs a 4 wheel alignment, don't waste time or money on a front wheel alignment

I agree with the veteran voices on here. No amount of alignment will cure the pull with bad tires. I have cupped, off-roading tires that are CRAP and the car pulls to the right. The dealer I bought the car from said they did an alignment but the car still pulls slightly to the right, and the steering wheel is slightly off-center rotation-wise, so I know that the alignment didn't cure a thing. New tires, then get the alignment. Rotate religiously when needed. It should always drive fine.

I know it is common practice in the US to rotate tires, but I never have.

My Touareg's tires wear evenly and I get about 27-30,000 miles out of them before I discard at 50/60% worn.

This is my practice on the Touareg as well...the 50/50 weight distribution (for the most part) and 25% of power at each corner (again for the most part) help.

New tires + immediate alignment + sell old tires at 50% formula also works for me.

Ok, so I went a shop who do all kinds of 4x4's and trucks etc. They did the alignment and they also couldn't find a bad balljoint, lol.

According to the sheet they did a good job, rear and front, ..except camber is a bit high on the negative. -0Âş24...should be -0Âş20 max but anyway...it drives straight now ;)
