Yes, Aero 2 towing mirrors from Milinco ( or JR in North America) work great, Costco online now has them. Also think about fitting the VW aspherical mirror elements in your door mirrors, they make a huge difference in blind spot reduction, and overall rear and side view, honestly the best $200 I have spent on my treg.

 

Roalco, The "VW aspherical mirror elements" that your reference...are they genuine VW parts from a dealer or aftermarket?

 

They are genuine VW parts, brought over to NA by OEMPlus. VW dealers will have a hard time importing them, as they are not NA spec.

Did you install them yourself? Do the aspherical mirrors replace the existing mirrors? If so are they as easy to install as "popping" out the standard mirrors and putting in the aspherical mirrors?

 

Yes, installed them myself, there are detailed directions in other threads, but basically you get your fingers behind the edge of the existing mirror and apply pressure until the plastic retaining latches release. A bit nerve wracking the first time... ;-) ! Then disconnect the heater and dazzle wiring remove the old mirror elements and then connect up the new mirrors elements and pop them in. On North American tregs, there is only factory "anti-dazzle" wiring to the drivers side, which I didn't use, so I wrapped the connector with self vulcanizing silicone tape ( to waterproof it) and tucked it up out of the way.
It really is a simple job, and will improve your rear and side view immensely.

Can I order LH with anti and RH without for less cost??

 

I'm sure they will sell you anything you want, for a price. Though if you read the posts, most people prefer no anti dazzle masking on the asphericals. Better visibility, but to each their own.

 

Mirror Price

The $216 price is worth it. Hate the blind spot. Do you for see any warranty problems with the dealer or VW?

There are no sensors on the exterior mirrors- the sensor controlling the dimming/anti-dazzle is on the interior rearview mirror, at least on 7Ps
