I got to thinking while talking to SaVAGeSoot... you did deletes and a re-tune and all kinds of stuff at the same time didn't you?? That leaves a lot of potentials here; namely tuning. For the heck of it I would flash back to stock tune and see what happens.

Also. Where exactly did you get the HPFP from.

Is the electrical connector on N276 properly? No bent pins, connector is engaged, etc? You didn't cut a wire or anything by mistake?
I looked at it, nice and clicked-in connector, intact wires. no bent pins (likely no relation to the low crank voltage/low crank rpm problem though.)

It might be this.... but I'm unsure, so I'm only guessing based on what I can see in mine.....
I suggest reaching out to RT to confirm and\or clarify.
Don't forget to confirm proper connection to it first.

in "Basic Settings" found and posted by DannyBoy, is def correct one.

A VW tech was parting out a never installed factory engine he got cheap. In retrospect maybe not the best idea for sourcing. Reverting to factory tune could affect low voltage/lowCrankingRPM/lowfuelpressure? Maybe worth trying. However I ran the Malone tune for a month with nice performance before touching any of this overhaul.

Starting voltage healthy battery but wasn't started in a week
Fuel pressure at the rail on startup. Started at 5 second mark
and fuel pressure regulator. Startup at 5 second mark
Thanks DannyBoy! very useful to have healthy numbers/charts to know what I SHOULD be getting, and some added things to log.

I would suggest that you leave your oversized red shoes at the beach and refrain from addressing multiple things at the same time....

Based on my recollection, the last time you took that kind of approach, you managed to turn a running vehicle into a garage ornament using PM and bulletproffing attempts.... Just sayin...

Well, to be honest, you changed wayyyyyyy too many variables at once time. I'd have deleted and made sure the tune was even operational (lots of dead canned tunes on arrival) and functioning properly, and then after a few weeks done the injection pump. A new tune is a huge new variable, among many others.

These engines sell for $6-8k all day long.. why would he waste time and effort parting out a brand new 3.0 TDI for pennies on the dollar? That isn't adding up.

I am guilty of changing turbo and Hpfp at once however I ran the Malone tune for a solid month with nice performance before having to replace a leaking coolant valve right next to the Hpfp. Since I was already in the hard to access V, I decided to replace the Hpfp to avoid a total fuel system shrapnel event at some future time , at 130k miles and I’d like another 130k. The turbo had excessive play and it came out anyway for the Hpfp.

So no deleting or tuning changes at this time??

Pull the exact part numbers off of that HPFP. I want to see it.

No tuning changes since it was running, correct.
I did the dpr scr physical delete well before the overhaul when I got the tune. Got a bit of mpg gain ran well.
I did the physical EGR delete alon with Hpfp but only after I had to expose the V anyway to replace leaking coolant valve next to the Hpfp.
On Saturday I’ll post the VIN and Hpfp part number as you suggest.
