Kessy Switch (novice)

Hi,

my kessy has failed in my 09 v6. It’s part number ends in 137 (picture attached) will I (my mechanic) be able to fit the other kessy (135 ending)? If so, could I then take it to VW to get it reprogrammed?
I’m in Oman so language and cost is a barrier here ($2000 for new kessy from vw)

I'd venture doing it myself but it's tricky and a lot of things can go wrong. If you're not comfortable tinkering in the car, get it to someone who knows what they are doing
