I would locate the secondary fuel pump fuse as that one will not be on once you switch the ignition off.

But you need a fuse layout for the 04 to find it. Or get a voltmeter and start checking every fuse under the hood (assuming you don't want to run a wire through the firewall).

Ok..in that plenum 404 is fuel pump relay but stil I could not figure out which pin to connect to...I might leav it at the 15A fuse as per pic above until I make next visit to dealer..they should know. I have wiring diagram but must admit not able to read it...bit complex so I need more time studying. Again all other fuses are ON for 5 min after engine shuts off.

Images as promised. Again I used Fusor 170 tape + one coper hanging wire for bracket (shaped it as S with botom portion closed in circle and taped to the body of DRL and fog light bracket). Will post more dusk images as well so one can see how bright they are.

Also removing bumber was easy...20 min and I think it is necessary and easier to work with then just when removing skid plate. I did not remove skid plate at all.

Another disciple of the Krakonosh school :) I just removed the skid plate and worked from there.

I used plumber's tape folded double or triple for strength to make the bracket but mounted them on the upper divider rather than the lower one as you did.

Looks nice.

I paid $210 shipped...few more photos to showcase the fit...also they have the "Audi" style reflectors and that makes them special as they don't look like round dots from the distance + are directional and super bright.

These are exact replica of S6 LEDs when they came out. 5 LEDs with square shaped reflectors (not 9 round ones). That is why I went for them. Re fit I am 95% happy second time around I think I would get to 99%. Namely there is only minimal dremel work needed on outside bumper edges when fitting.

DVMIS, you have an 04 mine is an 08 and therein lies the difference. I placed it on fuse 13 in the plenum. I think Krak tried the same thing but it didn't work for him as he has a T1 and mine's a T2.

Give it a try and report back. HTH

13 is not switched...checked all of them with voltmeter withion e-plenum and seems I have to go inside the car on driver side (closest) fuse box to get to switched one. That will be my next step if anyone lese does not have better advice? Siberian did you also instal in-line say 5A fuse?

As I said, the differences between a 2004 and 2008 are enormous (didn't VW say over 2,000 changes between the T1 and T2?) so I'm not surprised that the wiring is different.

My kit does not have an in-line fuse. Why are you wanting to install a fuse? Sounds like the department of redundant redundancy department

How will you switch them? Also I would be happy if one of you could tell me how to change out the headlight switch for the Euro one. I took off the plastic panel (and found the previous "tech" had not re-installed it correctly) However I could not reach the headlight switch with my hand. What holds it in place and how can I get it out to put the Euro in? Siberian are you out there? I know it is summer up there but I need help here. Vern

Vern, I'm leaving tomorrow early so pay attention :)

To remove the headlight switch, from position 0 (zero) turn it slightly clockwise but before it engages A (auto) and push in. The pins holding the switch will retract and you can pull the switch out.

If you do not have the rear fogs you will have to bend one of the pins (sorry my mind is on fishing at the moment, not to mention I got my wrist mangled yesterday as one of my dogs got into it with a friend's one... the stupid shepherd thought it could stick it's nose into Chuckie's food bowl... the wrist has three puncture and tear wounds gonna handicap me for the Kings...) so that you don't get a bulb error. If you look up rear fogs it should tell you which pin it is. HTH, be back Sunday stay safe
