I have just installed a new injector in my v6 diesel touareg only to find out I have to take it to a dealer to get the computer to talk to the new injector, trouble is the dealer is over 100 ks away and am told by the dealer not to drive it in, the car preforms well so what can go wrong? A tow job would break the bank, any suggestions?

what is a VCDS cable and where to you get one?
Sorry didn't realise you were so new to the forum.
Every Touareg owner should know what a VCDS cable is or have one or access to one or you will be the dealers bitch.
RossTech VCDS cable google it.
Cost around $430 but if you are keeping your vehicle is soon paid for at each scan that saves min$50 to the dealer to do it.
Where are you located?
Regards

thanks again Drag, I think I may go with the tow option as I am not much into computers,(too old). what would be the worst thing that could happen If I was to gently drive it in there , It runs quite fine.

Are you referring to an injector trim code????

If so, that won't hurt a damn thing if it is not entered and driven. It is to help fine tune the injection cycle.
