Hi everyone,

Recently bought 2022 VW Touareg 3L TDI (only 35km mileage) with 15-inch touchscreen display. Still getting around new features. Came across the App-connect feature and I don't understand how to connect my phones through Android auto and Apple Carplay. I already connected to the car via Bluetooth, can receive calls and listen to music from the phone, but the App-connect doesn't give me option to connect my phone wirelessly, the only option is through USB cable. My Android Auto app on the phone is updated, but still unable to connect via Bluetooth. It's really annoying to connect via cable in 2025 and the map screen seems too small (only half of the screen size). If anyone knows how to fix it, please let me know. Thank you in advance!

Look in the manual? I've rented a lot of brand new cars that can't do wireless carplay- not sure why. I only use it in my '09 Touareg w/ Kremersino kit, I've never even tried plugging a phone in. It's nice to just keep it in my pocket and still navigate with it.

As I was told, the system does not support wireless connectivity. It's hard to believe that this isn't possible, especially since I have an older Citroën where I can use Android Auto wirelessly.

No. I just bought a Carplay adapter and it doesn't work smoothly.
(This one on Amazon: KUKIHO 2025 Version Carplay Wireless Adapter, Android Car Wireless Adapter, Wireless 2 in 1 Converts Wired Android Car/Carplay into Wireless, Suitable for Cars with Android Car and Carplay)

I'll test it for a few days, and if it doesn't work as I expect, I'll return it.
