So... firstly, why put this thread in here... well... technically, I do not have some new exterior mods, abet unwanted.
Driving to work this morning in the right hand lane and the car 3 in front of me puts on his right indicator. The 2 cars in front merge left and as I was unable to also merge, I slowed to a stop about 2 meters behind it. Quickly checked the rear view mirrors and notices some very closely following cars behind, thinking to myself, **** I hope these blokes stop... quickly answered by a tremendous bang as I was hit from the rear (no attempt to brake from the other drivers) and I was shunted forward into the car in front attempting to turn across incoming traffic.
The seatbelt tensioner went off and I was pulled hard into the seat, but no airbag activation. The windows immediately went down about an inch and the car stalled. I tried to restart, but as I have read before, it shuts down and won't allow a restart after an accident.
Pics below, to show the difference in damage to the 3 others vehicles and mine.
The car on it's own is the car that was in front of me. I assume there is probably some damage underneath the trims, but overall, significantly less than the other 3 vehicles. I am pretty impressed with the strength and performance of this car in the accident. Still pretty grumpy at my 3 month old car being all messed up though. kaboom
