Both DSC00260.jpg and DSC00259.jpg should be scaled smaller, as thier large size make the entire thread hard to view.

I like the chromed mesh grill, but it still seems to be missing something in the center.

I really don't get the point of the alternate badge on the rear - if you are going to have any logo at all, why not the VW logo?

Overall, it looks great. Good job, and good luck at waterfest.

park assist with painted sensors works fine... As far as the logos go....The huge VW is way too much of an advertisement to me...They make the whole truck look like those old VW hippy van's i think its disgusting and i'm releived now that they are both off...

i will try and edit those pics if i can....let me see

So instead of advertising a VW, you advertise Kamei on the rear? That's what I don't understand. Completely badgless I can almost understand (and it looks great on the rear on those I've seen that have done it).

As far as the front grill - the chrome looks much better than the black mesh versions I've seen of the same, but it just looks too open to me. Personally, I'd like to see how the VW logo looks in the center on that grill.

But again, overall it looks great, and don't let my nit-picks and personal opinions get you down. ;)

Looks great, but I am not particularly fond of the golden color.... And I must agree with 4x4 on that advertising Kamei instead of VW is not my thing. But personal mod is most certainly a good thing!! :)

How do you like the eye lid though? I can't seem to see the 'effect' of the lid, probably because of the angle of the shots. Does it make the front look meaner, more resembling BMW's eyes?

Very Nice!!!. Good luck in the show.

i dunno i guess i am advertising something but the vw van is what comes into mind when i see the orignal rear emblem....i'd rather have kamei personnally...they made my truck look a lot better in my eyes...

the eyelids definitely gave it a much more aggressive look i think it looks mean.....

that black touareg looks amazing too whoevers that is....i love the racks and the stepbars

I tend to agree with the logo opinions. The VW logo just fits to me. I REALLY like the chrome mesh, just think perhaps if you want it smaller, find an old Passat one, they are about an inch smaller. As for the back, why not put the camera in the logo space? Down low would be too easily obstructed for me, plus with the extra height it might be easier to gain perspective on what's back there.

Other than that, I really like it! I don't like gold, but it looks nice on the clean lines of the egg. Good work! The custom stereo stuff looks nice in the pics too. How well do the seams integrate with the rest of the interier? Did they use a soft texture paint or lacquer? If they did the gloss, take it out and use Home Depot tool handle spray. PERFECT match for the factory rubber paint :)

:drunk:

the lines match up great the only problem is they used home depot flat black spray paint....it mathces pretty good in person but its just spray paint and it looks like its gonna scratch easily....

what is closest to factory match....

NO WAY on the VW emblem and....my car is leases so i can't drill a whole in the rear for the camera...where it is now is easily replaceable for the tow hitch.

i'll post pics tonight of the trunk if i haven't done so yet...i have two jl w6 v2 in a custom box and my amp and cap in a plexiglass kick panel...

lol......its the chain off a G35key.....i got into an accident and thats what brought me to this forum with my new TREG...what keychains do you guys have...

I have a sterling silver versace one but it scratches the interior and weighs like 2 lbs...so i leave it at home...not too economical.

Wow looks sweet. I guess i will see you in waterfest. I just want to say i like the grill without the Vw. I hope to see all the touareg guys there. You can find me at AMI Motorsport booth. I am local in nj. I decided to go to the booth because they dont have a Suv category. I hope they dont put the touareg with the wagons.

what size rim and tire did you go with, i'm thinking a 22/225/35 for mine.
Way too small. Trie Rack says 285/35-22 for 22" wheels. If a 225/35-22 tire even existed, which it probably doesn't, it wouldn't have anywhere near the proper load rating for a Touareg. Plus, it would be too narrow for a normal sized 22" rim.

great job...

i love what you have done with the grill, great choice of color, not many can pull that off and make it look good - especially on black cars... the overall job looks very clean without too moch going on at once... the only thing that i would change is the triangular piece (which others have mentioned before, but juss a minor change...

i have one question - what made you place the DVD place where the stock navigation screen was and not on the very top where the storage area is? i looked into that area, and i think that a DVD system or at least a screen can fit there perfectly, but who knows?

so yeah, enjoy the mods and keep up the good work...

triangular peice....? what is a triangular peice...and my car is leased so doing an interior mod like that will cause me a lot more problems then the exteriors i have done....i like having everything in there as though it came stock....

thanx for all your opinions....JAZ wheels hasn't called me back about the waterfest show in a few days so i'm not sure if we are still on....they told me they were also contacting east coast motorsports to see if they could give them nice cars but i'm not sure if they understand that its a vw and audi show only......
