Hi everyone,
I’m a longtime VW fan, inherited my appreciation for German engineering from my grandfather. I’ve loved VW ever since I was a little boy in the late 70’s and beyond. I’ve owned two classic rag top Beetles (‘71, ‘73) and two first gen Tiguans (‘14TSI, ‘16 TSI SE4Motion). And I’ve had the itch to own a Touareg for years. I think the Touareg’s conservative styling continues to hold up. I hope to be in the driver seat of my own Touareg in the not too distant future. Since I work from home it won’t be my daily driver but rather my touring and camping vehicle. Attached is a side by side photo I shot my ‘16 Tiguan with a ‘14 Touareg TDI. I took the picture at a car dealership and then created a visual interpretation of my fantasy roadtrip, it’s titled, “A highway with no one on it.” The title is a reflection of my passion for the road trip before dawn when no other car is on the road. And I created the dessert landscape as a reflection of the open road where possibility can be found in ever direction. Drive on!
