Hi All, please could someone help share some guidance. I have a 2007 V8 Touareg. Whilst driving over the weekend the dashboard lit up with error Brake Assist then then Low Range indicator came on with the ABS and Traction control light. The button to switch between high and low range also flashes on and off. I switched the vehicle off and on again but the warning lights still persisted. The vehicle drives as normal though. I tried disengaging the low range whilst in standstill but it doesn't do anything. Any ideas what could be the issue.

Do you have VCDS to do a scan?
Kind of reminds me of when an ABS sensor goes bad.

Don't have VCDS, but obviously need to invest in this now. Taking the vehicle to my cousin this week to plug it in and check.

Correct its a RHD South African spec.

Thinking about and had the same issue on my VW Polo when I ran two different profile tyre's, after reaching 100km the dashboard lit up and speedo died, hopefully it might be a faulty sensor.

Update!

Mechanic said there was a fault code related to the stepper motor but the fault is no longer present
The transfer case is no longer lit up and was able to change between high and low range without issues.
Drove the vehicle around yesterday for a bit and nothing came up either

Nothing just cleared the fault, and bam! It's like it never existed. Very strange, but I'm not complaining 😎

Hopefully it stays good. If not at least you have a direction to look for the problem now.
