I was just in the UK last week. I had the opportunity to drive from Slough to Sheffield. I didn't see a single Touareg. LOTS of Tiguans, Q5, Q7s (all TDIs of course), but not a single Touareg.

I even saw one of these:

I like this front clip more than the Touareg.

Aha, an Amarok.

Nice truck: I spent 8 hours in one two weeks ago - front and rear [5 seater cab].

Very comfortable, goes very well even with the auto box [most are manuals here].

Feels huge to drive but in reality it's just a bit longer than the Touareg.

Gone and bought one. Not the V6 as could not find one i liked and needed the new car soon. have a 55 plate 2.5 in black, lots of goodies including dvds in the back for the little monsters. very good history on it and a nice clean car. pick it up saturday. far too excited really

:D

Make sure you have carefully read the buying a Touareg link above.

Make sure your car has four IDENTICAL tyres - same make, same model, same tread, same size.

Change the oil and filter immediately you get the car to get the correct oil in the engine unless you know with 110% certainty the previous owner's garage had got it right.

Get a good warranty.

That's beautiful! wow, I wish they would bring it over here, I KNOW it would do well if it had the same tow rating as a treg, people would love it.

To the OP: Welcome to the site, I also had to settle when buying the treg, settled on a V6 but now I know I want a V8 and I will NOT settle. Enjoy your touareg!

It has a 2 litre bi-turbo engine pushing out 180 PS and 400 Nm: the towing capacity is 2,800 kgs.

This picture... I was never able to understand why do Brits park their car with a driver door right against the wall nor how do they exit their cars parked that way – might be through the passenger door on the vehicle’s right? :D
LOL

Very good!

LOL some more!!

Into guffaw now!!!

Brits are OK. Why Singaporeans, Japanese and others picked up this bad habit? Gangnam style mass effect?

The world used ride on the left so a horseman could draw his sword when faced with trouble coming the other way.

Russia moved to the right in 1709 and America started to move to the right in 1792!

Air-cooled to H2O-cooled

Long time Vintage VW owner (air-cooled). Got rid of my daily driver, AWD GMC Denali, to get a H2O cooled VW Treg. This SUV is everything and MORE than my old Denali; definitely an upgrade. The Germans have their stuff together for sure. Already looking at doing some aesthetic exterior/interior mods to make it unique. For all the Treg purists out there, I am quite aware of its capabilities, however, I live in a suburban jungle and will only be taking it out to the snow on occasion for family ski adventures and maybe the woods camping. So all I am saying is don't hate on 20" wheels...:D!

Cheers!

WELCOME!

Wiki says it was in 1752 and she was the Empress. Two centuries ahead of Sweden. Well done. We're not in dark ages.

Definitely 1709 - I remember it [and her] well!
