"Heated" Steering Wheel?

Tried to search but couldn't find any info on this. Pressing the button on the right side of the steering column supposedly brings the steering wheel to normal temperature. I tried it this morning (30 degrees) and didn't notice anything after 5 minutes (by that time the car and seats were warm) Obviously I didn't expect it to heat as quick as the seats when cranked up to 5, but is this feature really THAT subtle?

Actually, I believe only the winter package is necessary. We have the heated steering wheel with only the standard two-zone climate control.

If I remember correctly, it only brings the temp up to about 70F, so that may be considered "subtle". I don't particularly like it, so I leave it off.

Whether you have a heated steering wheel or not depends on whether you have the option. It is not standard.

In North America, the heated steering wheel is part of the winter package. In the rest of the world, I believe the heated steering wheel is available as a stand alone option. The button is ALWAYS there whether you have the package or option, or not.
