I posted some pictures a few weeks ago of my wheels but here are couple pictures of my H&R springs which were just installed. I originally did the upgrade to gain more of an aggressive look but, to my surprise, the handling improvement was the biggest change. It handles MUCH better than before without giving up any day to day comfort...if you like a stiffer sports car feel than I highly recommend this upgrade. Cornering is dramatically improved and you can definitely tell that is has a lower center of gravity with no top heavy feel. Really amazing difference but then again, I'm use to driving a M3 as my daily driver. Next on the wish list....painted red calipers and an exhaust.

Hi, before I saw your post, I have actually ordered a set of same style wheels in 20". But mine will be dark grey as that's how my Touareg 2011 is going to be. Thx for posting the pics as I had no idea on how it will look, now I do.

It's definitely not going to be as plush as stock but not jarring. You will feel pot holes more but overall normal ride is just going to be more firm. My wife primarily drives the truck and loves how it handles now and has not complained at all about the ride. We originally did the upgrade for appearance but the improved handling has been the best part of the upgrade.

I love the look and performance but honestly, I would probably not have done the upgrade considering the headache and expense I've incurred. Not sure if this is just my bad luck or what but first off, I noticed that my rear tires only lasted 7K miles. Come to find out, the passenger side was sagging over 1 1/2 lower than the driver side. Got a replacement spring ordered and installed (working on getting this warrantied by H&R but I'm being told they won't cover the labor expense) and then the installer (Autoscope in Dallas) noticed the toe was incorrect when doing the alignment after the warranty spring replacement. Apparently, toe was maxed out but still wasn't enough. They finally figured out on how to get it in spec.....they had to first adjust camber then mess with the toe. It's a trick that a VW tech gave them and now I'm in spec. We'll see how the tires hold up and if I have any further sag issue. Oh well. It's been an expensive upgrade to say the least. Labor was over $200 per spring plus you have to pay for an alignment.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. I've been through that hassle with previous cars and it's no fun. I has H&Rs on my 350z and the installer (in Houston) also couldn't get it into spec after install. Autoscope seems to be a good shop though, from my experience, and it sounds like they took the right steps to get your alignment correct.

Let us know how things work out with the new springs. For what the hassle is worth, your car looks great.

Hi Foggy... Just wondering how the "H & R Springs" are holding up after nearly 2 1/2 years.
