OK...anyone got a theory on what goes wrong with these?

2008 T2

This is the unit under the forward slider that pops up. The light ring around it has power but nothing lights up when I connect? Does it have a dedicated fuse (if so what number?) or a fuse inline/in it? Or do they fail cause they move?

The power that runs the light is separate.

Look inside the plug and make sure a dime has not fallen inside it. That happens.

I don't know which fuse runs it, but checking fuses would be the next thing. It will be in one of the fuse boxes. There is one by each door. I don't know which fuse it is in a 2008, so check the fuse box doors, they should be "somewhat" labeled.

PS: It is possible that it only has power when the ignition is on. So, be sure to check it with the key in the on position.
