How is it still driven daily if the HPFP and entire fuel system is destroyed?

 

Obviously, it was driven daily until the pump failure. Now it is parked.

 

So was daily driven, not still daily driven. Those sort of miles and the fact it needs thousands spent, and no one can drive it to check the operation of anything else, I don't think you're going to be getting very high offers. You'd be better off parting it out.

 

Moral of the story - if you care about resale value, don't buy a luxury SUV with an economy badge

Honestly pisses me off seeing how many cars are worth more than my Touareg. If it had an Audi or BMW badge it would easily be worth $5k more...

 

I mean he'll probably get 3k for it - likely needs another 3-5k put into it (someone doing it themselves) to get it up and running again.

Very sad situation.. 280k miles is awesome, but super disappointing something so stupid as an HPFP bomb that took it out :/

 

It cost me $3500 to fix my HPFP. If I had a shop do it it would probably be $7000 to fix.
