Post a pic of the switch. Which spec do you have? Any noise from the mirror as the switch is operated the gears have been known to strip although you should still hear the motor running.

Have a look in the setup menu in the RNS850 as there is an option for mirrors to fold which would at least show if you have them fitted or not.

Press button CAR SETUP Central locking option to fold in mirrors, present or not?

 

Yeah sorry, I'm unsure of the spec. But I musn't have them although the rotary knob shows I do. There is nothing in the infotainment system.

I don't typically use the rotary I just use the lock button on the alarm to close my mirrors but going off memory, you can fold the mirrors in with the rotary switch but they will not unfold until you move the rotor switch out and then start the car

 

I'm 99% sure a 2011 has them

 

I agree especially as the switch shows a folding position. The op should check the fuse might be all it is.

 

The switch should fold them regardless of the auto option in the menu. That's how mine work & I doubt yours would be any different. Do they now auto fold on locking?

 

Yes... They work on auto. Not on the rotary dial though. I've tried ignition on.... Off... Etc.
