Changed the oil for the first time this past weekend. I raised the truck to "Xtra Hi" setting and fit under perfectly!

Took me about an hour the first time and it was mainly finding the right tools and how the underbody panels came off.

Refilled with Liqui Moly 5w40 Full Synthetic and a Hengst filter. I also used a bottle of Lubro Moly Jectron cleaner in a full tank.

Feels smooth now! Just thought I'd share a pic and thank you all for the information!

i have one for my Jeep Grand Cherokee CRD and in 60k miles have yet to climb under my vehicle once......

Less mess, no crawling around on the ground...Worth its weight in gold IMO....

Like normal, if its on the bottom , then i guess you have to go under... on a TDI its on top....

From what I've heard on here, it is not recommended as I have two oil sumps ( v8 ) besides I don't mind a little oil on me from time to time.
