I went through all the adaptor stuff a while ago. It was messy and when you filled up you had a messy bit covered in diesel that you had to put somewhere. I ended up just removing the restrictor ring in the filler input and now it takes any size diesel fuel filler - even a hi flow.

2018 Touareg. does anyone know how to remove this as it stops me from using truck fuel or jerry can.

I did the same and find its not messy the gloves are handy as is the plastic container to keep it in.

Sure - but it is just unnecessary - especially when filling from a jerry can - trying to hold the adaptor - and pour the can - and not spill the fuel everywhere ..... It is so easy to remove the restrictor.
