Sadly my daughter got in a minor fender bender with the Touareg. The fender moulding was hanging off and while I can kind of get it set I cant seem to get the clips to properly connect for a secure reconnection. Anyone have tips or links to instructions how to reattach - or should I try some 3m adhesive method I saw in another post?

The fender moulding was hanging off and while I can kind of get it set I cant seem to get the clips to properly connect for a secure reconnection. Those white clips, part # 3C0853585, slip into slots on the back of that molding. If, as mentioned above the slot they fit into is broken you have two choices.
1-Replace that molding. Only thing with that is the little rectangle body piece (at the back of the wheel) is attached to it and will need to be painted to match the vehicle.
2- Pop the clips out of the body and 5 minute epoxy them in place. There is also a rubber grommet in the body that those white clips go in to. Try not to lose them.
Hopefully the white clips wings were just bent enough to come out of their slot. If you need more of the white clips with the rubber grommets they are available on Amazon. See link below.
