I am sure this has been asked before, but when I tried searching I got an error.

Do the newer 2013-2014 Diesel Tregs come with an engine block heater? Is it an option? Does VW make one that can be installed?

I know there are aftermarket heaters out there, I was just wondering if it was a standard feature.

You can get the OEM installed Webasto engine and coupe heater (parking heater). It's both remote operated (rather good range) and with a timer (or just turn it on via a designated button when you get inside your car). It's not an engine block heater, but it warms up the cooling system and warms the coupe via the standard air conditioning system. It will also make your engine warm up a lot faster when starting on cold days - and helps you keep the coolant at 90 celsius even when it's really cold.

Not shure what the 2013-2014 comes with as a standard though, but the Touareg used to come with a "simpler" Webasto heather that would automatically turn on when engine was started on cold days, to help warm up the engine faster. The Webasto parking heater is an option that allows for more functions than the standard heater.
