You'll have better luck finding Bigfoot or a Yeti or maybe even shaking hands with an alien from another galaxy.
Nobody... and I mean NOBODY knows how to do this for 2011 and up Tregs. Good luck.

.
What, I am still here, just don't say much anymore!! :grin2:

Try it out and let me know, when you have a second. It’ll give me peace of mind my treg isn’t strange. LOL

May be something to do with your year Treg. I don't recall if if works on the T1/T2 Tregs or not since most of us turned them completely off with VCDS. Mine have been off since the second day my Treg was in my hands. :)

Reguarding the T1. I might consider leaving the DRL's on, if VW used the halogen lights as the DRL source.

The fact that VW was running the T1 DRL's off of the HID bulbs. No!

I have a T1 Lol, I haven’t coded the DRL’s off. I actually don’t care if they’re wasting the HID’s. I like the look haha.

I have a 2016 TDI Lux; my DRLs go off when in Park and e-brake engaged. They come back on when the e-brake is released. I believe this is the way it came from the factory; I don't remember making changes to the DRL coding.

Your Treg doesn't seem to be strange ;)

DRL’s that aren’t....

I also have a 2016 TDI. If you are talking about the lights at the bottom of the bumper, they only come on when you turn. They are there to help you “see around corners”. Have someone watch you drive at night and they should be able to verify that the lights come on when you are turning.

Those are the fog lights. The DRLs (Daytime Running Lights) are in the Main Light Cluster.

Hey there, I'm a new Touareg owner, just purchased a 2016 TDI Lux over the weekend and I have some questions on how the DRLs operate. The DRLs do not seem to light up unless the headlamps are on. I have the headlamp switch set to "auto" and I would assume that the DRL would always be on, when its dark enough outside the headlamps would turn on automatically. But when the headlamps turn off, the DRLs also turn off? If I set the headlamp switch to "off" the DRLs do not light up either. I do not see a setting for the DRLs in the RNS850.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Jason
Are you talking about the LED lights or the 'fog lamps?" The LEDs are only active when the headlights are off unless you have on the high beams. If it's the fog lamps, there is a button, it's well disguised. Where the actual headlight switch is, there is also a picture of a headlamp on the left. This is actually a button that switches on the fog lamps, which also by the way automatically turn off with the high beams.

NOW, I know the 2016 had minor upgrades so if that includes a redesigned interior or upgraded software so I might be completely wrong and taken up 30 seconds of your time. Happy Hunting!
