Are you saying that you have to pull the interior latch TWICE to get out of the car?

I have to do this when I stop after driving the car as the automatic door lock system on drive off is switched on.

I am aware of what you are talking about. Yes, this is similar, but imagine it happening when the door is unlocked. The first time you pull the handle you can feel the door pop part of the way. If you let go of the handle and try to push you will notice that the lock is still engaged therefore you have to pull again.

What is graphite?

I have sprayed a ton of silicone spray in the lock mechanism and striker.

I tried the silicone spray.

It feels like it is mechanical. Here is why:

Prior to this replacement, I could simply pull the inside handle, release the handle and push the door open. This is how it currently is working with the other 3 doors.

Now when I pull the handle, let go of it, when I push the door there is a latch or something that is still catching. Almost like there is a primary and secondary latch in the mechanism.
