I was wondering, does the lugagge compartment door also close with the remote control or does it also have a button in the back door to close it ?? Or it just has the switch in the driver´s door ???

I think we aren´t at the same door :D
I´m talking about the trunk door.. it automaticly closes the trunk.. and I´m asking if we can only close it trough the button in the drivers door or if we can also close it with the remote control. :D

We are at the same door..(I HOPE) the decklid..hatch,trunk..whatever term you want to use.... correct? If not stop here *
The Touareg has as latch assist feature
Motor in decklid pulls it closed and latches...

unlock lock yes
open close no

unless you have that "Extra Special" version....
Why do I feel like the Mars Rover right now....

What does your decklid do when you hit the button in door with decklid open (up in air)?
When you say "close" do you mean lock?

let me guess.. work truck version.. you not is US correct..

the only US version we have now with FULL power open/close is the
PHAETON push button it unlocks and opens up if already up it closes it all the way you do not have to get out at all.

No, I´m not from the U.S.. I´m from Europe.. I don´t know if it opens, I think not, but I´m sure it closes.. In the U.S. it doesn´t ??

You guys must be talking about the hatch assist function. It does not do anything to close the read deck lid from an open position. All the the hatch assist function does is assist closing that last 1/2 inch or so so you don't have to slam the deck lid shut.
