I went out to start my Treg and found the dashboard lights lit (see pic). The car was otherwise was dark, no dome lights lit up when I opened the door. I put the key in and turned and nothing happened. No crank, nothing at all. It also wouldn't release the key fob from the dashboard. So I put a charger on the underhood terminals. The dash lights went out and I was able to get the key out. After several hours the charger showed a full charge. The same dash lights came back on, but nothing else works, and it still won't crank. Also, the key won't release again. The battery is only one year old. It's a 2013 V6. With no power, I can't scan anything. Thoughts?

If your battery is only a year old and was coded in when installed, it could be possible you have a parasitic draw on the battery that caused it to go dead.
Give the thread in the link below a read. It seems other members have run into this on theirs. They mention a few possible fixes, but again you need to find out why the battery went dead in the first place.

The video below has been passed around a bit as it's got useful advice on how to check for a parasitic draw.

Agreed. Load test the battery then load test the alternator. Advanced Auto and AutoZone will do this for free.
