Lubricate, lubricate, lubricate. Use the lock ease stuff with graphite. Don't use that much, it just needs a little.
Beware that your plastic key can easily break and get stick in the door lock. If you're patient take a few hours or days to loosen and turn key. Add some WD-40 or silicone spray and maybe alternate spraying key and lock cylinder.

If that doesn't work buy a VW metal key blade. VW/Audi HU66 is for the newer 2011+, not sure if it fits yours. Need to get a locksmith to cut it based on your plastic one. Then you can turn it with more force.

Well damn, if you have the metal key, you can just use more force with vice grips. Finger turning isn't strong enough for a seized lock. Just MAKE SURE you have lubricated it well and stuck the key in and out several times. Don't snap the key but you should have no issue giving it more pressure with vice grips than your fingers.

Take the plastic fob apart so you can grip the metal key blade with a vice grip. Maybe pliers if you don't have vice grips. Pay very close attention to the cylinder where the key is in while you turn it. You can see the vertical cylinder opening moving vs the key bending.

I dont know i tried everything i lubricated i heated i wd 40 i used oil all nothink helped, my dad said to put 12v battery to turn signal what is located at mirror but that didnt help to!!! im starting to worry i will never get in the car. i dont have money im student with touareg :cry::confused::confused:

I mean you could try to connect power to an open hot wire somewhere. To get just enough power to use the unlock key fob. I think that is what your dad was saying.

What happened when you were turning the key with a vice grip or pliers tool? Remember your hands won't be able to turn it strong enough to break a bad seized lock.

yes he said but i dont know why its dosnt work.... i tried with 6v and with 12v but i think the 12v battery wasnt charged so i gona try tomorrow too so if you got some other options what would you do ! i will try And with that key yes i taked apart the main key and with vice grib i forced alot at one time i trought it will snap but i did like tommi said left right left right but it will not move

Ok yeah might work better after sitting a bit with the lubricant.

Also, try hitting the lock cylinder, door handle with the palm of your hands or a heavier soft object. Might loosen it up as well.

And last by not least. Try opening the trunk. Mine opened once when it was 100% dead.

• Keep the charging on the battery if you can. Keep trying graphite and WD-40 or CRC-556.
• Is the car outside and below freezing?
• Jiggle carefully. If the driver's door is being stubborn, try the passenger side. And try the trunk.
• Keep trying over and over. It''s frustrating, but you should be able to win this.

when my Touareg battery went dead, I had it towed on a flatbed tow truck to the vw dealership. They replaced the battery AND re-coded both of my keys. So I am wondering if your battery went completely dead, and if you will need to re-code the keys for them to work.

did you open rear hatch glass to climb into the Touareg? the button is under the window wiper as stated above. or perhaps have a locksmith come out to open the driver door for you They can open it with a wedge which is not too expensive.

ok so dead dead battery, like mine had been, so I recommend that you forget about a locksmith and just have it flatbed tow trucked to vw dealer where they can replace the battery and reprogram all your key fobs. My vw dealer charged me for the battery and labor but reprogrammed my key fobs for free.

So if the battery was dead dead the car forgets the key yes?Damm i just payed for the new turbo because the old one was dead now i need to tow it to vag dealer ship…. That gona charge about 50-60 ero ugh isnt there some emergency button to get in the car…. Or do somethink at home to make the key work? Im going for week to college…. If you know some trick… i will try it….

You are likely going to have to replace the lock cylinder. I had one that was completely seized. No amount of lube was going to get it loose.

I ordered a new cylinder from VAG with the code off the key itself and my VIN.

Found a good YouTube video of someone replacing a lock cylinder for these vehicles.
