Could be as simple as a flaky connection\ground.
Do you have a multimeter?
That scanner should be able to see something..... do you know how to use it?

i do have a multimeter, and this is how i learned that my brain is no good... i cant figure out how to use a multimeter for the life of me.
And the scanner isnt getting anything. no codes.

You have a decent tool, but like every other tool, it's only useful if you know how to use it.
You're in over your head.
Educate yourself on how to use these things as you don't know enough to do what you're attempting to do......

I didn't ask you what you meant by OBDII that was @SaVAGeSoot. Your scanner will not pick up detailed VAG codes.
