I am trying to replace the crank shaft position sensor and I cant seem to find it. I see other posts on different models, mostly older. But I dont see anything on a 2012 TDI.

i do have a multimeterCould be as simple as a flaky connection\ground.

That scanner should be able to see something..... do you know how to use it?

And the scanner isnt getting anything. no codes.

I didn't ask you what you meant by OBDII that was @SaVAGeSoot. Your scanner will not pick up detailed VAG codes.geez.
