Coolant Loss

I have a 2015 TDI Sport w/Tech, 172,000 miles. I just got my SUV out of the shop after 30 days. One of the issues is that I drive the car about 20 miles each way to work. Every morning the light goes off for coolant. The expansion tank is about 2 inches low. Nothing is on the ground and the oil is clean. It is going somewhere. The guess is out the head or block into the exhaust. Has anyone had this issue? The problem is if I tear the engine down (expensive) and cannot find anything then I am where I started but broker.

Yes.

Impossible on a TDI.... so either you don't know what clean oil looks like, or you don't have a TDI. Which is it?

Most likely cracked EGR cooler if you can't see any evidence of leaks in your valley.
Remove ERG pipe off intake horn and check for evidence of coolant.
Should I say there is no noticeable
water/coolant in the oil

I have the exact same issue. my ERG was deleted. where is the coolant going?
Cool, which EGR and EGR cooler delete and reroute kit did you install?

disabled, blocked? i had Malone stage 2 tune with delete
You too...which EGR and EGR cooler delete and reroute kit did you install?

People seem to get easily confused between deleted and disabled.
No ****. I blame the mouth breathers on Reddit for propagating this type of bullshit every day.

I have this issue constantly, my reservoir has a small crack at the top. VW 'diagnosed' this way back and suggested a very expensive replacement but, all it does it is keep my tank 2 inches low. I don't often get the warning light and I can tell in the summer it 'leaks' while driving as I can smell it. My thing may not be your thing, but it is a thing. Happy Hunting!
