So as I have been investigating my steering shimmy, another dealer (courtesy of VW America paying the diagnostic) found that the caster has maxed out on the right side and it's close to being maxed on the left side. They suggested cutting and replacing the right lower/upper control arms and do the alignment (about $1100).
VW of America Customer care is trying to see if they can cover it because I just bought a certified VW (and this issue should have been caught by the dealer that certified the car - and the one who is denying my problem).
Anyone have advice on the issue of caster being maxed out or any experience with VW customer care - is it a long shot that they will cover this?
Oh - wheels were road forced balanced and the alignment is within specs but it does have a slight pull to the right..
