Note that this is the v.635 software update it'll correct a battery drain issue of the earlier models...Marcooo, I don't think you need this update, I might be wrong but as far as I know the 2011's did not have this problem. Zuke1god, I've sent you the update...read the pdf instructions first and make sure you have a working dvd/cd map to complete the update...

Hi,

if you read the first pages you'll realize that the thread started as far back as 2005...that means that this "update" addresses problems with earlier Touaregs (T1s and some T2s). I'm almost certain that yours won't need this particular update (actually I doubt you need any kind of update)....

p.s. In case you're still curious as to what is rectified from this update, read the first pages of the thread...it has all the info that you 'll need...

Anyone help, I've been trying to do this update for a while now. Today I had a free day so i thought I would try it again. But I keep getting this message no cd inserted , or cd read error. Can someone help me as to where I'm going wrong. Thanks

Try repeating the CD burning process...follow the included instructions as to how to burn (speed, etc) and which burning software to use...

Tried it again , even went to my local computer shop and they did it as instructed but still getting same message. Anyone.

If your unit is ok then it is the way you are burning the CD that's causing the problem...almost everybody that tried the update using the included instructions had no problems with it, writer included...
