Could you please provide me the guides or tutorial video? My car is 3rg gen. touareg 4.0 TDI and I don't have any special devices to connect touareg...
If it is not free, I'll pay for it. !
Please let me know what devices I have and how to do it in detail.

Well everyone, "InnovativeSoft" ( innovativesoftnz.com and/or Whatsapp +64 21 404 548 ) contacted me and he's performed the upgrade on my Aussie Right Hand Drive unit.
I can highly recommend him - he was "incredibly" responsive and it was very clear to me that he has a great deal of experience doing this upgrade to VAG Group Cars (VW, Porsche & Audi). As my car was a RHD model, there were a few changes that he had to make to accomodate the slightly different screen layout. The process did take a few hours but he worked tirelessly until it was completed and verified working.

If you wish to go ahead, he will explain everything clearly but here is a list of the processes involved:

1. You need to source locally a USB2 Ethernet Adapter (only a few dollars) that has a particular Chipset in it (AX88772), available on Amazon. (This gets plugged into your car to the USB port you use for Carplay in order for InnovativeSoft to access the System)

2. You will also need: (a) A Laptop with a Wifi Connection to the Internet and an Ethernet connection (As my laptop did not have an internal Ethernet Socket, I used another USB Dongle - NOT the one mentioned in 1. above), (b) An SD Card (at least 8Gb) formatted in FAT32 format that can be both plugged into the Socket in the Car (my socket was in the Glovebox) and also able to be plugged into the Laptop. If you are using a "MicroSD" card, then you will need an adapter so that it can go into the Car because that socket is a "Full size" SD Socket. You will also most likely need a USB adapter to plug this into your laptop if your laptop doesn't have an SD Card socket and (c) A Short Ethernet Cable.

3. Once you have all these, "InnovativeSoft" will instruct you to install some software downloadable from the Internet so that he can remotely access your PC.

4. After remotely accessing, he will then instruct you in multiple steps, to do things like: Plug the Memory Card into the PC, plug the Ethernet adapter mentioned in (1) above into the PC, Move it to then plug into the Car's USB socket, Plug in the Ethernet Cable between that and the Ethernet socket on your laptop, plug the SD Card into the car and execute a few commands in menu's on the Display head unit.

That all might sound like a lot but it is actually quite simple and he guides you all the way. The new larger screen is awesome - for me in particular, the one I like the most is Google Maps in a decent size !

Hi guys, just to let you know Fatfergus was 100% correct, about innovativesoftnz.com, and he's ability to make Carplay and Android Auto full screen...He got in contact with me once he saw that I enquired on this forum about his services...From there on he explains clearly what you need to have on hand, and then he logs onto your laptop via teamviewer...From the time he logged on to my laptop, till the time he finished took only 40 minutes...Before he even logged onto my laptop, he sent me the latest firmware to get my infotainment centre up to date. He service was great, as he is in New Zealand, and his time difference is 10 hours ahead of me in South Africa, yet he did the job in the time it suited me. The finished product is a world of difference in size and clarity, from what it was like before, and the screen seems to be scrolling faster. Where I see the biggest difference is in Waze, but where I am going to enjoy it the most is that now when I watch my beloved horse racing, the picture is big and clear enough to now see the colors the jockey is wearing. One last massive plus is the effect it has on using split screen...Before I would not use the split screen feature, because it split an already small screen into 2, and to me it just gave me 2 screens that had me straining my eyes to see either...Well now split screen is a pleasure, as each screen is now as clear as the one full screen was before I did the changes. If you are keen to take full advantage of the 15" screen (Most probably the thing most of us love the most about our Touareg), and if you keen to use all the real estate you can possibly get out of the, then from my experience, there is nothing anyone else is going to be able to do better than Innovativesoftnz.com

Hi,
I'm another happy punter who got this done by InnovativeSoft. Not cheap of course, but like with most things in life you get what you pay for. His instructions supplied whilst he was working his magic were quite simple but i still did my best not to follow them properly lol. But TBF it was around 6am local time on Sunday in Abu Dhabi, and I was still half asleep in my PJs. Anyway some screenshots below - BUT it would really nice to have main car play screen mirrored in the odometer display as well but I believe this is impossible.

One more happy Touareg CR owner with a help of Captain_K. Easy communication, step by step info how to update everything and after 30 minutes including MMI software update, my 2021 Touareg eHybrid Android auto screen looks as it should have from the factory - Full size.

to get fullscreen for carplay or AA can be done for 50Euro's, all you need is a laptop and an sd card and a few mins of your time.
