Nope, not another camera whine thread. I was at my local dealer's lot last week and he had 3 Luxs on the lot. One had just the camera, one had just the sensors, and one had BOTH. In each case the window stickers confirmed the equipment. Just curious what the new "standard" is?

I'm not sure VW knows either, and it would likely be a waste of time asking a salesman. Those with sensors only were built while the Japanese backup cameras weren't available. Those with camera only may pre-date those (you'd have to check the build date on the door post). Those with both may be vehicles that were on the line - getting sensors - when the camera supply resumed.

Just get your own camera it's availble for about 600 bucks now at kufatec.

I think you're right. I couldn't check the door jams for build dates but I have a feeling the newer ones are camera only. Honestly, I kinda like just the sensors on mine. Don't think I'd trade for just the camera, but if I could have both........
I thought the Kufatec camera kit was $900?
