I installed a set of bridgestone dueler H/L alenza at costco. But the spec on the tire wall says the maximum inflation pressure is 44psi, yet the touareg requires 46psi on the rear tires. Is there a way to get around the warning message?

Exactly which 2010 Touareg model and wheel/tire sizes have you got?

Are you sure you bought tires with the XL load rating, or not? That max air pressure on your tires, to me, indicates it is perhaps not the proper load rating for your vehicle, or that it is not a truck tire.

That 106H rating, not sure if that is right, when your car weighs 500 pounds more than my 2012, and mine runs a 108 XL ???? Better double check the tag on the drivers side door jamb near the sill for tire load specs again.

235/65/17 V 108 XL and 255/60/17 V 106 were the OEM petrol 3.2 specs with both sets running at 36 psi/Front and 38 psi/Rear on half load and 38/44 on full load.

The only difference between H and V is the sustained maximum speed and either is acceptable.

What does the door sticker actually state for 2010 VR6 tire sizes and for half load and full load tire pressures?

[Were 17 inch wheels a standard fitment on the VR6?]
