I know that pretty much all Touaregs have brake noise when backing up but I have started getting brake noise when pulling forward with no foot on the brake pedal.

At a stop, I take foot off of the brakes and give it some gas and I get a constant brake squeal at slow speeds, once I get past a few mph it goes away. Also if I tap the brake pedal it will also go away. It sounds like its coming from the front brakes.

The brakes are in good shape, they were changed out less than a year ago. I have been dealing with this noise for many months. Any ideas on how to make it stop. Its pretty embarrassing to have constant brake noise every time I am traveling at very low speeds.

I have had the VW dealer check it and all they say are "Dirty" rotors.

I never had this issue until they changed the front brakes...

It's wrong to say "pretty much all Touaregs have brake noise".

The vast majority don't, whether the car is going forwards or backwards!

There is something wrong with your brakes - possibly a sticking caliper piston.

Sorry, didn't mean to offend. It was just meant as a general term that quite a lot of Touaregs have brake squeal when reversing and most owners of Touaregs know that and just live with it.

I had the same thing....turned out to be a small stone stuck between the rotor and stone guard at the driver side rear brake, only made a noise at slow speed and not in reverse...weird

No offence taken!

Is there another dealer you can go to. The noises you describe are not right.

This happened to me as well on the second day of ownership. Sounded like nails on a chalkboard and then, thankfully, it miraculously cured itself.
