Brake Fault - Stop Vehicle

Hello.

I am hoping for a bit of advice on the following situation.
I recently purchased a 2006 VW Touareg V6 3.2L. A friend helped with diagnosing and clearing some faults.
After completing all steps for Steering Angle Reset, the dash warning lights and beeps went off with the message "Brake Fault Stop Vehicle, Owner's Manual". The beeps are very loud and several lights are continuously flashing.
The shifter is not stuck in Park, and I can drive the vehicle in the parking lot, but I haven't taken it on the road since the errors occurred.
Re-scanning showed new errors: P1479 -brake Vacuum System and P1914 Pressure Sensor for Brake Booster.
Could anybody suggest what might have gone wrong during the Steering Angle Reset Procedure, or anything that could help remedy this issue? Is there a way to reprogram the ECU, or undo the Steering Angle Reset procedure? There were only cylinder misfire codes prior to this, but no brake errors or warnings.
The scanner used was a tablet Maximus 2.0. I am aware this is a VAG-COM thread. If considered inappropriate, please disregard this message and accept my apologies.

Thank you.
