BF Goodrich T/A (265x65x18) on my 2006 V10

I had the new tyres fitted yesterday.
The wheels are VW Karthoum 18x8 alloys.

There is slight rubbing at max wheel turn, which I'll sort out by trimming the IC intakes.

Road noise is more than on the Michelin gum balls, but still acceptable (the pros outweigh the cons).

Steering "feel" is different, but I suppose I'll get used to that.

Ride is undoubtedly softer than on the 45 profile 19" tyres.

The spare does fit on the carrier and hitches a ride in the back for the moment. Mod to the carrier to follow.
For looks only, I still carry a 19" spare on the carrier.

(The first two pictures show the size difference between the BFG 265x65x18 T/A and 285x45x19 Michelins)

looks good.

1- that bfg is the AT Ko is it not? Not a "T/A" which is different model tire.

2-why do you say "for looks only" on the 19" spare? What's "looks"? Why not remove the tire wrap, use a relocation plate (often used on land rover discovery 2 to set larer spares up higher to clear the bumper), and fit the proper 18" bg for the spare?

If you have any real need for the 18" on the ground, surely you don't want to get caught out having to use a spare tire several inches smaller!

The empty carrier looks a bit daft, so I am in fact carrying 2 spares. A "dummy" on the carrier (for looks only :D), and a 265x65x18 in the vehicle, tied down with a ratchet strap.

Yes, the adapter for the spare will follow.
