Hey guys and gals,

My brake pad light went on the other day and I need to do a brake job. I ordered everything from QPower1 in the classified brake thread. I just don’t have the knowledge/know-how to install the on the Touareg.

Can anyone give me a lead for a good mechanic in the Bay Area? Or if someone will do it privately we can work something out in terms of cash and beer. I live in Fairfield/Travis AFB area and am willing to drive for someone trustworthy. All my parts will arrive by Thursday 4/5 and I hope to have them installed Easter weekend.

thanks!!!

100 bucks an hour? :writers_block:

You do not have to be rocket scientist to replace brakes right?

I do something wrong here. I went to school till I was 24.
Should have quit at 16 and become brake installer instead and have a 6 figure income. :confused2:

I have been searching my area for the past 8 days trying to find something reasonable. $100/hour is more then reasonable for the area. Cost of living here is much higher then SW Missouri. I am more then happy to pay a total of $730 for the brake job ($100/hour) compared to the $1500-$1700 quoted by the dealer. Most quality shops here want $150+/hour and the place I am taking it to is more then reputable.

No need to rain on my parade :-({|=
