I would replace your battery with an OEM, the size of the battery is unique, and it is designed to securely fit in place. I replaced mine with an OEM, and I found the price to be in line with 3rd party units.

 

$278.23 for an OEM battery i paid last month. The old one is in the garage i could get the measurements if you want?

 

I know we are in different parts of the world, but mine was $110 including a disposal fee (my old battery was dropped of at the dealer for proper recycling). It was actually cheaper then the quote from the local interstate dealer that I called.

Have anybody had a peek under passenger seat, my car don´t have air suspension, and I want to install a back-up battery there, if the space are available..

 

What would the "back-up" battery be for?

How is that you guys are quoting inches but expressing them as decimals eg 6.89inches. what the hell is that? have I missed something?:joy:

 

BTW - in Touaregs with 2 batteries (V10's in the US) the 2nd battery is located under the spare tire in the boot. You may want to go this route; if you do the size is different than the one under the seat...

The "under the passenger seat location" seems more appealing, but then again I could fit a compressor here, and tug the battery in the boot.
