Just got Pioneer AVIC D3 installed in my Touareg, but radio is not getting good reception. Keep getting static... Even on FM & AM stations that used to work very well with stock radio. The further away, the worse it gets, and eventually totally loses reception.

Spoke with installer, was told that all wires were connected correctly. Might need to add an antenna booster.

Did anyone encounter the same issue? Any suggestions and advises?

youhave toake sure he used the amplified antenna adaptor from metra. If he used the unamplified one your radio reception will suck. The righbnone has anpittle blue wire coming off it and the other doesn't.

40eu55 is the amplified one 40eu50 is the non amplified one. You need the 55

spoke to him today, he said he used the non-amplified one and will replace next sat. i really hope this works. will let you know.
