Perhaps I made this up in my head, but I could have sworn that I heard of a company that put out a system that would auto-switch RCA inputs based whether a signal was present. Has anyone heard of this?

Reason I ask, I have a 2006 Touareg with navigation. It also has the CD changer in the back and the Aux RCA inputs in the center console. What I would like to do is use that RCA input to run and iPod connector and Satellite radio. I would like an adapter to auto-switch to the satellite connection if there is a signal present and switch back to the iPod if there isn't one. This way I can keep the CD changer and have satellite and iPod connectivity.

If this isn't possible then i'd be interested in a manual RCA switch as long as it isn't too obtrusive.

Has anyone tried what I'm proposing? Searched but didn't see exactly what I'm talking about.

you know I want to do the same thing. I saw something at PIE, PIE :: Precision Interface Electronics. but I don't have any local installers that I know that can do it...

PIE makes two adapters for XM terk commander and ipod interface which replace the cd changer. I am not sure what I wanted to do...

There is a RCA switcher that PIE sells too... my only issue is that there website is not very informative.

Good luck and let me know what you come across as well.
