Audi Q7 wheels onto T3 Touareg Wheel Offset

Sorry guys, I know wheel discussion has been beaten to death, but I'm not finding an exact answer on the offset difference between my current 19" wheels and these Audi wheels I'm looking to purchase. Their both 19x8.5 with a 130mm lug pattern. But the offset on the Audi wheels is 62 while the stock Touareg wheels are 59. Is this a problem? Or is that close enough that there shouldn't be any issues?

I have a 2014 Touareg TDI Lux with no modifications, so it's just a question on fitment between the 2 wheels. I'm trying to buy these wheels for my winter tires which are 265/50R19 I'm under the impression there is no issue with tire mounting due to offset difference.

Sorry for the newbie question all, just trying to get a definitive answer before buying. I'm sure the answer is out there on the internet somewhere but I'm not even sure how to ask the question correctly to find it.

Wheels I'm looking at:

I believe the offsets are measured in Millimeters. So the difference between your stock wheels and the Audi wheels is 3mm. That's 0.1181099 inch, or ~ 1/8". If you have that much or more of clearance when turning your stock setup full lock to lock, then it should be fine if you go with the correct size tires for those wheels.

I guess I don't know if I have that clearance but would think I do? I don't know how I'd be able to determine that though before buying the wheels? The link Turbo ABA provided seems to make me believe that it wouldn't touch the suspension but I'm truly a novice at this so I'm not confident in my determination

If they are both 19x8.5 and the only difference is the offset from 59mm to 62mm, that is only a 3mm difference. So you will lose 3mm of space on the inner side of the wheel and the outer edge will tuck in 3mm more. Take a ruler and measure 3mm out on the inner most side of the wheel, which isn't much and see if it will hit anything.

As TurboABA pointed to - go to wheel-size.com and enter the values in to see.

But...to help more specifically with your question re the difference in offset, if you look on wheel-size.com on the "Alloy Wheel Fitment Page" and choose your vehicle, you will notice all of the different wheel / tire combinations that were standard fitment. Interestingly enough, and helpful for your question, on the "Tire Calculator page" if you enter the specs of your wheels and tires (19x8.5 / ET59 / 265/50/18) and use the optional factory 20" wheels for your model as the comparison (20x9 / ET57 / 275/40/20), in the results section - Suspension - you will see "Tire is 3 mm closer to suspension components. Rim is 4 mm closer to suspension components. Acceptable for most cars".

So there it is - the factory 20" wheel option is further inboard of what you're looking at (4mm for rim Vs 3mm for your Audi wheels) and all is good.

Hope that helps.
