🤣

the emissions stuff is pretty much the only weak point with this engine. DEF level sensors, heaters, injectors, nox sensors etc. they all seem to have a high failure rate. With that stuff deleted these rigs are damn near bulletproof. I don’t want to be out in the middle of nowhere and get a “restart not possible in xxx”, limp mode, derate etc. I’ve heard of people having the same issues repaired multiple times.

if these weren’t such high failure items, i think more people would keep them.
My 2014 TDI. X has 189.000 miles on it & have had no problems with the emissions & I maintain the car my self I’m not an auto mechanic I will never get rid of this car best vehicle I’ve ever owned

@Minesa2016gas
Bruh, you must be the only MOFO around this place who has any disposable income.... you keep barking around here about how everyone other than you is too poor to own a TDI.....
Let me ask you..... why DAFUQ do you have a gasser? With your deep pockets (which you conveniently keep bragging about), I'd think you could easily own\maintain a diesel! :unsure:
For sure. He and @volkswagens-for-life should lecture us all about owning a $60K (US) luxury German SUV and its inherent/attendant costs after the purchase to include $400 dealer oil changes. LOL. F that. I'm about to do an $85 oil and filter change and a $15 fuel filter replacement in my driveway.

After that, try to code my headlight modules back to functional. Damn German over engineering!
