i tried this head unit from teyes in my 2017 vw wolfsburg. everything worked perfectly, but i had no audio . . . still the same issue

I had to buy a second cable bundle to get sound. If you had cd player.

Just to make sure your car does have Optical plugged into back of Stereo cd player. This harness provides that connection to rca into back of the head unit. Comes with a blue box Optical and rca, so that's the only way sound works. The dash screen loses audio and phone settings . Only new head unit uses Bluetooth only.
