Does anyone else have this "problem?"

I was returning home to Oklahoma City from Hot Springs Village AR in my V8, on Hwy 7 in the Ouachita National Forest. Being a two lane road, and quite twisty and up and down, it is not uncommon to find yourself behind a slow moving vehicle. Problem is, it is "double yellow" about the whole way, even when there seems to be plenty of room to safely pass. I mean, you would think that one of Bill Clinton's cousins had owned the yellow paint store where the Arkanasas DOT bought the paint for these double yellows. Anyway, when the time was right, I decided to pass on the double yellow, and "put the pedal to the metal and let 'er roar" . . . that's called "hammer down to Macon Town" for all you non-"fly over country" owners.:D

Any way, my egg took off like a scalded rabbit, and I was around that moving obstacle in a nano second and back in my lane. Here's where the "problem" raised it's ugly head. I looked down and saw I was passing through 90, and it felt like 60. So I ease off the throttle, but that speedo seemed to keep climbing a bit, as if you had just given free rein to a galloping quarter horse and she really wanted to run. I mean, this baby just likes to fly as the speed increases, and you really have to get off the gas to get her to start slowing down.

Does anyone else have this "problem?"
