My 2014 Touareg TDI R-Line with 211,000 miles is experiencing intermittent AC/Heater blower failures. I believe my problem is the blower because I am able to feel heated or cooled air coming from the vent when I open the sunroom hatch while driving. Also, when I open the hatch the blower eventually activates telling me the blower motor armature activates when the flow of air via the vent moves the fan off the flat/dead position and the motor turns on. Also, presently when blower is working if I turn system off before I shut vehicle off, when restarting vehicle if I turn on AC, the fan comes on. I think my problem is the blower fan. Any opinions??

Mine was intermittent on my '10. I pulled it out and blew all the dirt out of it. I put some grease in the bushings and it had been fine ever since.

I have a similar issue. All the climate control settings (buttons etc) are lit, and you can set them, but no fan comes on for a/c, heater, defroster. Naturally, this issue is intermittent. But, on days with wet weather, we can't use the vehicle, since the inside of the windshield fogs up. Of course, there are no warning lights, and we checked for bad fuses. And then fan started working again. And then it quit. Etc. Any ideas or comments appreciated.
