I'm from Costa Rica so, I´m sorry because of my bad english. I have to change my A/C Compressor, I´m trying to find what I need, My VW its a Touareg 2004, 2.5 TDI R5, the vin is WV6ZZZ7L14D

Why are you changing your compressor?

On the R5 there is a coupling on the compressor that is a service item.

There is another identical coupling on the alternator too which should also be changed as a service item

If the coupling has failed, as they can, you might be thinking your compressor has seized when it hasn't.

I believe the coupling can last forever. The one way bearing should be the service item. If the bearing fails it takes the coupling with it.

Then make sure you change the complete coupling too and change the alternator coupling at the same time.
