Did you take it to an Indy or dealer?

 

I had the dealer do everything.

 

How much did your dealer charge for the $90k service, if you don't mind me asking?

 

No problem! They all charge way to much IMO, but the independents were around the same price.

$128.00 oil change. $808.00 transmission. $178.00 front differential. $69.00 rear differential. $103.00 transfer case.

 

Did they not tell you the trans was sealed for life?....or did you insist?

 

I think you will find it is now a service item on the T3 at 60K, just as it should have been on the T1 and T2.

 

They did tell me that, and I insisted. Not sure why they would not recommend doing it? I think it made the shifting smoother...

 

Keep in mind that they probably replaced only 1/3 of the total volume.

 

If I remember correctly, 7 litres is about right from my own [warranty] bill for a new valve chest.

 

By prior arrangement I delivered my car hot at the end of the day. The dealer put it straight on the ramp, removed the plate on the bottom of the gearbox and left it to drain overnight.
