I wanted to share a quick update on my Touareg TDI, which just passed 487,822 km (around 303,200 miles) and believe it or not, it’s still running on the original piston rings!
I’ve done regular maintenance over the years, including timely oil changes and proper care, but never had to touch the engine internals. The performance is still solid, fuel economy remains decent, and it’s never let me down on long trips.
Just wanted to show some appreciation for how well-built these engines are. Anyone else here running high mileage without major internal work? Would love to hear your stories!
