Any body use these on a T3?
I think they would fit and come out to a 31" tire.

Why don't you try 265 width instead?

Have you tried finding all terrains in the stock 275 45 20 size? There are a few around. If not, you're better off getting 18 inch wheels

31.7" diameter is the tallest you can fit, but it will rub slightly at full lock. So 31.5" probably the max for stock ride height (non R-Line).

I'm going for 30.52" on my next set: 265/60R18. That will give a bump in ground clearance due to extra sidewall (0.74") vs the OEM 255/55R18, a bit better ride, and fill out the wheel arch a bit more, but not rub.

Might be hard to come across smaller rims, I've looked around second hand a few times and they're only occasionally available. New is also pretty expensive considering they'll get scratched up offroad

Bump : 255/55/20. Curious if anyone has run this tire size. Consensus seems to be 30.5" max tire size at stock, yet the rub most get is width and this tire size is narrow (10”). 2012 VR6 Lux

I have a T2, not quite the same thing. I think the T3 sits lower. I was running 255/70/r17 (30.5" diameter) with no touching (1" lift). I recently went to 255/75/r17 (32" diameter) with no touching (went to 1.25" lift), but i had to move the IC's 0.5" forward, and secure the wheelhouse linings to the ductwork and add some addition screws pull the lining tight. I also did a little trimming on the lower bumper cover.

I think a 31" will fit in a 255 width if your liners are tight on the duct. but I'm not sure what you are trying to accomplish. 20" rims will suck off road. You need to be able to air down to 15psi without smashing your rims. 20" Tires are expensive so you will be spending a lot for very little gain.

18" rims are not that hard to find used as PRY4SNO said. I'm picking up two 17" rims tomorrow for $70 at the junkyard to replace a couple of my rims that have rock rash.

A lift doesn't give you any better wheel clearance, it just gives you better ground clearance. Check out my articulation picture on my off road pictures. Those are 32" tires pushed into the wheel wells and they are not hitting anything.
